as if an unskillful cameraman
is twiddling my brain’s
nobs and dials.

Not sure whose turn it is anymore.
Nonetheless I keep my chin
planted on the pool table, guarding
the left corner pocket. I grin

wide enough
and white enough
to expose my dental work
to the maximum possible damage.
